Fixed Fees for Criminal & Traffic Cases

Clients should know exactly how much their cases will cost from the very start.

That's why we offer 'lump sum fees' for a range of criminal and traffic cases and services.

1. 'Fixed Fees for Guilty Pleas'™ - If you wish to plead 'guilty' in the Local Court

All work up to and including a full day in court*:

Courts in Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $1400 + GST
Courts in Other NSW Cities (Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong etc): $1500 + GST
Courts in NSW Country Areas: $1800 + GST

2. Attending Police Station for Arrest/Charge/Interview Procedure - 24x7

All Police Stations in Sydney (all suburbs): $600 + GST
Outside Sydney: $800 + GST

3. Prison Conference - We Travel to All NSW Correctional Centres

Sydney Metropolitan Area (eg Silverwater MRRC, Parklea, Long Bay, Mulawa etc): $600 + GST
Within 300km of Sydney (eg Goulburn, Lithgow, John Maroney, Junee etc): $700 + GST
Other NSW Prisons: $800 + GST

4. Bail Application in the Local Court

All work up to and including a full day in court:

Courts in Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $800 + GST
Courts in Other NSW Cities (Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong etc): $900 + GST
Courts in NSW Country Areas: $1200 + GST

5. Bail Application in the Supreme Court

All work up to and including a full day in court:

$1500.00 + GST

6. Appeal to District Court because Local Court Penalty is Too Severe

Drafting and filing appeal, and all work up to and including full day Appeal Hearing:

Courts in Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $1400 + GST
Courts in Other NSW Cities (Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong etc): $1500 + GST
Courts in NSW Country Areas: $1800 + GST

7. Defended Hearing in Local Court for AVO & Common Assault Cases

All work up to and including one day defended hearing, including court 'mention' dates and all preparations:

Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $3000 + GST
Outside Sydney Metropolitan Area: $3200 + GST

8. Driver Licence Appeal (against Infringement Notice or Suspension Notice)

All work up to and including a full day in court*:

Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $1400 + GST & Local Court Filing Fee (current $83)

9. Application to Quash Habitual Offender Declaration

All work up to and including a full day in court*:

Sydney City and Metropolitan Area: $1400 + GST & Local Court Filing Fee (currently $83)

10. Mental Health Cases - Applications under s32 Mental Health (Forensic Provisions) Act 1990

These are applications for the case to be dismissed because the defendant suffers a 'mental condition', such as depression, anxiety etc.

All work including briefing psychiatrist/psychologist, initial court date, all preparations and court hearing date:

Sydney City and All Suburbs: $2500 + GST
Outside Sydney: $2800 + GST

11. Dangerous Dog Cases

1. Conference to Advise

    - Providing expert legal advice at offices or by telephone: $200 + GST

2. Letter of Introduction to Council

    - Drafting / sending letter of introduction to Council and follow-up: $200 + GST

3. Written Objection to Proposed Dangerous Dog Declaration

    - Drafting / submitting formal 'letter of objection' to Council: $500 + GST

4. Appeal Against Dangerous Dog Declaration

    - All work up to and including Full Day in Court; including:

Drafting & Filing Appeal Document in Court; then
Drafting 'Control Orders'; then
Negotiating Control Orders with the relevant Council, and
All other work including one Court Date:     $1600 + GST & Local Court Filing Fee (currently $83)

5. 'Guilty Plea' for Dog Attack Prosecution (eg s16 Companion Animals Act)*

    - All work up to and including one day in Court: $1400 + GST (Sydney Courts)
                                                                                  $1600 + GST (Regional Cities)
                                                                                    $1800 GST (Country Courts)

* Most cases can be completed on the first court date. However, if an additional court date is required the further fee is an all inclusive lump sum of $600 + GST ($660) up to and including that date.
